West Ham United cruised to a massive six goal win over Lincoln City, moving up to third place in the Championship table. The result reinforces their promotion credentials and punters backing them to go up will be encouraged by the ruthless display. The floodgates opened only after Lincoln had two players sent off before the break.

Clinical second half performance

Konstantinos Mavropanos finally broke the deadlock right before halftime to set the tone for the second period. Edvin Austbo added a stunning strike shortly after the restart to leave the hosts trailing with no way back. Jarrod Bowen and Pablo also got their names on the scoresheet during a totally one sided encounter.

Tomas Soucek came off the bench to score twice and wrap up the resounding victory. West Ham racked up over three expected goals from thirty two total shots while enjoying massive amounts of possession. This massive win highlights their incredible attacking strength this season.

Tough test up next

Nuno praised the professionalism of his players for taking advantage of the red cards. The manager insisted that everyone remains fully focused on the long season ahead instead of looking at the standings. Next up is a massive clash against league leaders Swansea City.

This upcoming fixture will give punters a much clearer picture of how serious their title credentials really are. Southampton also grabbed a 1 0 win against Norwich City to climb into the playoff positions.
