Napoli dropped crucial points in Serie A after drawing 11 with Fiorentina. Billy Gilmour opened the scoring with a brilliant volley in the first half. Alex Jimenez soon equalised for the home side to level the match.

Hojlund hooked early

Massimiliano Allegri hauled off Rasmus Hojlund early in the second half. The striker struggled badly and managed only twelve touches during his time on the pitch. His expected goals figure sat at a miserable zero point zero three.

Allegri did not hold back in his post match press conference. The manager called the former Manchester United forward pig headed. He demanded more anger and determination from his squad moving forward.

Fiorentina show fight

Paolo Vanoli praised his team for fighting back to earn a point. Real Madrid loanee Franco Mastantuono impressed again despite failing to score. The hosts are now unbeaten in three straight matches across all competitions.

Punters backing Napoli for the title will feel concerned by this toothless display. Failure to convert dominance into goals hurts their long term prospects. Meanwhile, Fiorentina are proving a stubborn opponent for any betting slip.

What it means for a bet

Backing Napoli to win matches convincingly looks risky until their attack sharpens up.
