Kylian Mbappe has made it clear that he expects to win the next Ballon d'Or award. The Real Madrid forward feels that his individual performances over the past year outshone every other player in Europe.

Goal scoring stats

Mbappe has been in phenomenal scoring form for club and country. He netted a record ten goals at the World Cup and has maintained a prolific strike rate for Real Madrid this season.

The trophy debate

Some critics point out that Mbappe failed to win a major team trophy with Madrid or France during the period. However, the striker argues that the prize is an individual honor and points to his record breaking exploits.

Betting market impact

Punters looking at the Ballon d'Or market will see these comments as a sign of his fierce ambition. Bookmakers may shorten his odds if voters weigh his goal tallies heavier than team silverware.

Elite company

Mbappe places himself in the same bracket as past legends like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. He believes his ability to produce extraordinary moments sets him apart from ordinary players.

What it means for a bet

Backing Mbappe in the Ballon d'Or market could offer value if voters reward his heavy goal tallies over team trophies.
