Joao Pedro secured the Premier League Player of the Month award for August. The Chelsea attacker performed well under new manager Xabi Alonso. He contributed to four goals during the opening three matches of the campaign.

Scoring form continues

The Brazilian international scored two goals and provided two assists for his teammates. These statistics follow a successful campaign last year where he netted fifteen league goals. He is currently playing alongside Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers in a dangerous attacking setup.

Betting market impact

Punters should note his current form when looking at individual goalscorer markets. His recent output makes his odds to score in future matches shorter. Bettors backing him for the Golden Boot may see his price contract following this recognition.

International recognition

His domestic performances earned him a recall to the Brazil squad for upcoming matches. This suggests his confidence remains high despite missing out on the previous tournament selection. Continued success for Chelsea will keep his market value high for the remainder of the season.

What it means for a bet

Expect shorter odds for Joao Pedro in goalscorer markets as his high performance level attracts more betting volume.
