International Game Technology has introduced a brand new slot machine featuring the legendary rock band Queen at this week's Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas. The machine marks the first time the company has licensed an entire music band rather than a single artist for its casino products. Fans attending the event at the Venetian can view the new hardware platform through Thursday. ## Inside the new music slot
The game includes ten classic Queen tracks alongside approved photos and video clips of Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon. Developers built the title for the newest hardware platform from IGT. Players will find four bonus rounds and six jackpots awaiting them when the machine eventually arrives on casino floors. ## Bringing rock legends to casinos
Developing a product with a major band requires navigating strict licensing agreements and approvals for archival footage and audio. The catalog for Queen is jointly controlled by surviving band members and Sony Music Entertainment. Company executives believe the global appeal of the band will attract heavy interest from casino visitors.
While the manufacturer has not announced an exact release date, major products typically reach casino floors within three to four months. The company previously released a successful slot machine featuring Whitney Houston to build experience with music licensing. Financial terms of the agreement and plans for future band themed machines remain private.
Slot players can expect to see music themed casino machines hitting floors within a few months.
