Crypto casino Gamdom confirmed a security breach that cost the gambling platform just over three million dollars. Suspicious transfers drained funds from hot wallets across five different blockchains within a short period. The sudden loss forced the site to go offline while the team investigated the issue.
Funds drained across five blockchains
On October thirteen, hot wallets on Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain, Tron, and the XRP Ledger transferred more than two point three million dollars to five separate wallets. At least four of those recipient wallets had not been used before. Gamdom went offline shortly after these unauthorized transactions took place.
Assets converted and washed quickly
Gamdom Ethereum wallets moved around one point two million dollars to a single wallet that immediately converted stablecoins into DAI. Another Ethereum wallet received eight hundred seventy thousand dollars worth of DAI through a bridge. The attacker moved the stolen assets rapidly across multiple chains to obscure the trail.
Owner confirms the financial loss
Felix Romer later confirmed that the security incident led to total losses worth over three million dollars. The company explained that an unauthorized connection happened to one of its servers after a possible disk malfunction. Gamdom stated that player data remained safe during the incident and promised to resume work shortly.
The wagering requirement for any bonuses on the platform was not stated.
Bettors should always use caution and check the security status of crypto gambling sites before depositing funds.
