BetMGM has opened a new retail sportsbook at the Tailgate Beach Club located at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Guests who are at least twenty one years old can now place wagers at an outdoor window inside a converted cabana without leaving the pool area. This addition marks the first poolside sportsbook window on the Las Vegas Strip.
Poolside betting features
The venue opened earlier this year on the former Daylight Beach Club site near Allegiant Stadium on the southern part of the Strip. The space includes three heated pools, twenty two cabanas, lounge seating, food, and drinks. More than one hundred forty five feet of LED displays show live odds and game feeds for up to two thousand guests.
Growing the Vegas footprint
Visitors can also sign up for the BetMGM mobile application on site, though future mobile use depends on location rules and state regulations. The app currently operates in twenty three states, Washington DC, and Puerto Rico. This new window brings BetMGM and MGM Resorts to a total of ten retail sportsbooks on the Strip.
Comparing Vegas options
While this is the first poolside book on the Strip, it is not the first in the city. Circa Resort and Casino downtown offers betting kiosks at its Stadium Swim pool area. The BetMGM location operates seasonally from March Madness through Super Bowl Sunday, whereas the downtown venue takes wagers year round.
Access and entry
General admission to the betting window area is free for visitors who secure an RSVP in advance. Cabanas, reserved seats, and group packages require separate purchases. The new setup gives sports fans another way to place wagers while enjoying warm weather and live games.
Bettors visiting Las Vegas can now place wagers poolside while watching live games on massive screens.
