Bet365 launched its online sportsbook in Washington D.C. on Tuesday morning, giving district bettors direct access to its mobile wagering platform. The operator has now expanded its sports betting presence to 19 U.S. markets. This expansion comes through a new multi year partnership with Monumental Sports and Entertainment. The agreement gives the company year round visibility across three professional sports teams in the area.
Major partnership with local teams
The deal names Bet365 an official partner of the Washington Capitals, Washington Wizards, and Washington Mystics. Fans will see virtual signage before and during Capitals games alongside broadcast commercials. Bet365 will also sponsor the Monumental Game Center, which integrates real time odds directly into live team streams. Head of Development Tripp Stoddard noted that the deal helps the company build strong connections with local fans.
Bonus bets and early payouts
New customers in the capital can claim 50 dollars in bonus bets after placing an initial 10 dollar wager. The platform offers live betting markets across more than 100 sports and features an early payout promotion. Under these rules, NBA wagers settle as wins when a team leads by 20 points, WNBA wagers pay out at an 18 point lead, and NHL bets settle if a team goes ahead by three goals. NFL bettors can also receive profit boosts an hour before kickoff on Sundays.
Legal betting age and expansion
Washington D.C. is unique because it allows people as young as 18 years old to place sports wagers. Most U.S. jurisdictions enforce a minimum age of 21 for gambling activities. Only Wyoming, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island also set their legal age limit at 18. Bet365 has actively grown its North American footprint in 2026 after launching in Michigan, Alberta, and West Virginia earlier in the year.
Bettors in Washington D.C. aged 18 and older can now place wagers on Bet365 and access early payout promotions on major sports.
